I have been a professional editor and proofreader for 20 years and am now leaving behind the security of salaried employment and setting up as a freelancer. For the last several years I have been specialising in health and social care books, particularly covering mental health issues, learning disabilities, nursing, drug and alcohol addiction and psychology, as well as English language teaching (ELT), having worked on several ELTon-nominated titles. I have also had a great deal of experience in legal publishing and books for the emergency services.
