Michaela Twite

Michaela Twite – Editor

I'm a confident, quick editor with more than 25 years of experience. I'm also flexible and friendly, so hopefully we'll work well together.

Overview

"I worked with Michaela for four years at Cosmopolitan and I've never encountered a more pleasant to work with, common-sense-led, fastidious and intelligent sub editor. This is why, over a decade on, when we were looking for a new copy editor for a book I'd written, she was the very first person to spring to mind. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat."

Catherine Gray, author of Sunshine Warm Sober and Versions Of A Girl (both edited by myself)

I'm a former chief sub editor/production editor, having headed up the team at Cosmopolitan UK.

Since going freelance, I have worked for all sorts of clients, including Welbeck Publishing and Octopus Publishing.

Two of my more recent jobs have been working with Sunday Times bestselling author Catherine Gray. I previously worked on her final non-fiction book, Sunshine Warm Sober, and more recently have completed her first fiction book, Versions Of A Girl. But I've worked on many other titles, too, from crime, fantasy and comedies, to autobiographies and sex books (yup, including illustrations…).

During my magazine years, I worked on a wide variety of subjects – lifestyle, fashion, beauty, fitness, wellbeing, travel, food/recipes, animals, equestrianism... so I can turn my hand to many subjects, with knowledge.

I'm quick and efficient and I always try to keep things light-hearted (but professional, of course).

Give me a go – you won't be disappointed!
