Michael Mah

Michael Mah – Editor

Editor with years of experience in NY publishing. Freelance writer. Skin in the game.

Overview

I've worked for Penguin Random House, Abrams, and the Overlook press as a proofreader and copy editor. I have an MFA from NYU. My background is in literary fiction, but the major houses don't discriminate, so I've edited high fantasy, indexed scholarly nonfiction, and workshopped the short stories of sensitive undergraduates.Upon request I can stick to consistency and grammar, but I'm a pretty good line editor and I know my way around narrative structure. Areas of connoisseurship: music, sports, foodie-ism, feelings, looking up spellings in Merriam Webster.
