Michael Lacoy

Michael Lacoy – Editor

Copy editor, proofreader, and author with 20+ years' experience, specializing in Fiction, Memoir, and Art.

Overview

My love of books began in college, at the University of New Hampshire, where I was lucky to study literature and creative writing under John Yount and Thomas Williams, award-winning authors who taught best-selling novelist John Irving, among others. Since then I have gone on to publish two novels and work as an editor and writer for a number of well-known publishers and institutions, including MIT Press, Harvard University, and the Museum of Modern Art, in New York.

I have experience in both fiction and non-fiction publishing, and worked for a number of years in the art world, helping to produce artist monographs and exhibition catalogs for major galleries and museums. In addition to my experience with mainstream publishers I have also worked with independent authors, providing a range of services including manuscript evaluation, project development, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading.

For reedsy, I am excited to help authors and publishers take their projects to the next level. I want to make your book the best it can possibly be, something you'll be proud of not just today but in the years to come. Drop me a line and let me know how I can help you, I'd love to hear from you.
