Overview

Michael Blank is an illustrator based in Stamford CT. He graduated with a BFA from School of Visual Arts in 2001. In 2016 HarperCollins published his work in Soman Chainani's School for Good and Evil: Ever Never Handbook featuring over a 100 of his images. Since then Michael has been focusing on his personal work, depicting thoughtful, dark, narrative imagery in the fantasy genre, drawing inspiration from mythology, and his personal experience. His work has been published in two "Infected by Art" illustration Annuals in 2018 and 2019. He was also part of the art collective of Encounters with the Imaginary Vol.3(coming out Fall 2019). In 2019 Michael won a Rising Star Scholarship from an acclaimed illustration blog Muddy Colors.

Michael Blank primarily does illustration but he is also professional graphic designer and can create titles and type treatments for your book cover in addition to illustration. He is also fluent in Russian.
