Hi, my name is Mary and I am the former Managing Editor/Marketing Manager for Australian publisher Five Mile Books, and Creative Director for Larrikin House - two independent, Australian imprints.

With more than 30 years of marketing and advertising experience running my own agency - there's not much I don't know about design, production, marketing and publicity.

How can I help you create the most beautiful picture book?

First, we'll start with a comprehensive zoom meeting to discuss your vision, the manuscript theme and overall concept.

Next, I'll liaise directly with your illustrator and prepare a pagination that they can work with to provide you with initial roughs for your approval.

Then, once pencil sketches are approved and you're happy with the direction, we'll leave the illustrator to create their magic and provide me with high resolution illustrations.

Finally, I'll prepare the design and artwork to your printer's specifications, give you an opportunity to make minor changes and then provide you with final press-ready pdf files for output.

From designing a high impact cover that enhances retail shelf appeal to easy-to-read internal pages your picture book or junior fiction title will have the same professional look and feel as a traditionally published title.
