Martina Brancato – Designer

Hi! I’m Martina, a children’s book illustrator from Sicily, Italy, with experience creating illustrations for 14 published books with international publishers, released in Spanish, Italian, Chinese and German.

My work is inspired by nature, soft pastel colors and the charm of the vintage books I loved as a child. I’m fascinated by the warmth and magic of old-fashioned illustrations, and I love filling my artwork with small details that make each story feel unique.

When working on a project, I believe in a close and positive collaboration with authors and publishers. We are a team, and the best results come from sharing ideas, communicating openly and working together throughout the creative journey.

I have experience illustrating picture books, puzzles, cookbooks, and stories for young readers of different ages, from early childhood to older children. I manage the creative process from the first sketches to the final artwork, always focusing on storytelling, emotion, and creating images that enrich the written word.

I grew up surrounded by books, discovering stories through both words and images. That love for books is still at the heart of my work, and I bring it into every project with passion and care.
