Mariya Stoyanova – Designer

Freelance illustrator specialised in creating illustrations for children's books and character design.

Overview

When I was a little girl I use to take every piece of paper available in the house so I could draw. Later on I ended up in Graphic design field but I was always missing the excitement of illustrations funny characters and cute looking backgrounds. In 2010 I decided to take the leap and became an illustrator. That was the best decision I ever made.
Whether you are looking for crazy camel character or flapping wings ink machine I am ready to approach the clients projects with uniques ideas.

My style is cartoonish, colourful and playful to attract children's attention. I love to sketch my ideas on my Wacom Cintiq tablet and then digitally colour the sketch constantly improving it to suits clients needs. The programs I use are Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC.

I can work tightly to a brief or let my imagination to fly and bring the story to life.
I was really lucky to work for clients around the world like " Kaisercraft" and " Newmommymedia".

Mariya has been great to work with. We were impressed with her quick responses and interpretation of our needs. It was great to have received sketches initially so that we can make any tweaks, before settling on the characters and then receiving them in colour. .
