Hi! I'm Lyric, a freelance editor with over seven years of professional experience in all stages of editing, though most of my clients come to me for developmental editing.

• Developmentally edit 12-18 new book projects each year with specific focus on the project's structure, flow, readability, clarity, focus, and organization
• Cultivate and maintain strong, trusting relationships with authors and support them in creating the most effective, well-written books possible
Self-employed
• Edit/proofread nonfiction manuscripts (personal development, mindfulness & meditation, spirituality, ancestral wisdom/healing) for personal clients and various publishers, focusing on all book elements, from spelling, grammar, and punctuation to syntax, word choice, sentence structure, and flow
• Produce editorial letter or style sheet for each project, noting content suggestions or standard style guidelines
• Ensure strict adherence to client's choice of style guide, usually Chicago Manual of Style
• Use Microsoft Word track changes and/or Adobe Pro to note errors or content suggestions
• Efficiently manage project workload to provide on-time, high-quality results for clients every time
