Lesley Trites – Editor

I am a published author and editor with experience in literary, scholarly, and technical publishing. I have managed book projects from initial planning to print publication with a sensitive, supportive approach to editing.

When it comes to fiction, I specialize in contemporary literary fiction and coming of age stories. I am an avid reader of experimental narrative forms as well as more traditional fare. As an author, I have published a book of short stories and a collection of poetry, and am currently writing a novel.

I have fourteen years of experience in the tech world. I worked as a developmental editor for Manning Publications, where I supported authors, chapter by chapter, through their book development process.

More recently I've worked in scholarly publishing, both in-house at McGill-Queen's University Press and on a freelance basis.

Very attentive to detail, I'm known in professional and workshop circles for delivering candid, constructive feedback with empathy and understanding of the writer's project.
