Overview
Having been in the TV and film industry for many years, I have worked with clients to develop concept art, digital matte painting, and illustrations for many films and TV shows.
The skills I acquired I initially owe to my art degree specializing in Interior and product design. Although I didn't pursue this as a career it helped me explore a couple of career paths which led me to take an interest in digital art.
After building up my first portfolio I took my first job with a games development company in 1998 providing concept work and building in-game 3D environments.
After several years I decided to switch to working in TV and Film as a digital matte painter and concept artist.
Initially working with studios in the UK I later took contracts from VFX studios in Canada and New Zealand whilst dragging my family along with me where I worked on films such as The Hobbit and The Man of Steel.
I now work as a remote freelance artist on a variety of concept and illustration projects for various studios and clients and enjoy my work more than ever.
Although I have a passion for Sci-Fi and fantasy work I am easily able to adapt my skills and style to suit many different genres and project types.
If you feel I am a good fit for your project, please feel free to get in touch.
Thanks for your consideration,
Lee
