Laura Edge

Laura Edge – Editor

The award-winning author of sixteen children's and young adult books, I enjoy working with writers to bring their manuscripts to life.

Overview

My love of books led me to combine two jobs into the perfect career. As a reading, writing, and language arts teacher, I have worked with students of all ages. I enjoy helping writers find the best combination of words to express their unique ideas. Creating dynamic prose is my dream job, a new adventure with each project. As the author of sixteen nationally published award-winning books, I have more than twenty years’ experience working with editors and publishers to bring books to life.

From working with editors on revisions for my own books and critiquing manuscripts for other authors, I know the value of constructive feedback. A fresh pair of eyes and a thorough review can be the difference between a polished manuscript and one that needs work. I have edited manuscripts in a variety of genres from picture books through young adult. I will point out strengths in your manuscript and areas that could be clarified or enhanced. I will help you polish your prose by pointing out pesky grammar problems while maintaining your one-of-a-kind voice.

Each writing project is unique and carries with it a piece of the writer’s heart. My goal is to help you strengthen your writing so you can bring your vision to life.

Working with Laura was a nice experience. She provided a proofreading service for my manuscript. She was very professional and flexible when it came to changing my due date. Everything was completed ahead of schedule. The changes she made were easy to follow.
