Overview
I'm a traditionally published picture book illustrator from Austin, Texas. I grew up enamored with the lavishly drawn books from the "golden age" of illustration. Little Kristin was inspired by fairytales, C.S. Lewis, Arthur Rackham, horses, music and classic Disney animation.
I illustrate using a combination of digital and traditional techniques (pencil, watercolor and Photoshop). I have a classic style that relies heavily on organic lines and textures, color and dramatic, cinematic lighting. I'm most in my element when designing unique characters and building authentic, natural worlds for them to play in. I love working on whimsical stories with lots of heart and elements of magic.
I would be honored to work with you to create beautiful visuals that enhance and support your storytelling. Let's talk!
