I am my own best case study, beginning my career as a corporate attorney and using a combination of blogging, social media, public speaking and media appearances to become a nationally-recognized expert on the business of sports. I left the corporate world to work for such outlets as Forbes and ESPN, and today I work with busy entrepreneurs and nonfiction authors who want to become experts themselves and step into the spotlight so they can grow their businesses.
My clients have appeared in such outlets as Forbes, Inc., Fast Company, BuzzFeed, SHAPE, Working Mother, Thrive Global, Huffington Post and more. We also regularly book clients on their local ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC affiliates, national and local radio, as well as leading podcasts. Many of our clients are also experienced public speakers who we book for corporate speaking and both national and local events.
I've written for Entrepreneur since 2018 on topics related to publicity and personal branding.
Guide My Brand
I founded Guide My Brand to work with entrepreneurs and nonfiction authors to establish themselves as experts in their niches and become more visible for their expertise through opportunities such as guest blogs, podcast interviews, public speaking engagements, feature articles and media appearances.
I've written for Forbes since 2009, with the exception of a few years I spent at ESPN. I last returned in July 2015 and currently write 5-7 pieces per month.
I worked primarily with attorneys and law firms to establish themselves as experts in their practice areas through traditional and online media and content marketing.
I reported on professional and intercollegiate athletics as a cross-platform reporter with, ESPN The Magazine, and ESPN's television and radio programming.
As a freelance writer, I've written for Fast Company, Men's Health, POPSUGAR, Woman's Day, Parents, Bustle, SportsBusiness Daily, Golf Digest and more.
“Live Big” by Ajit Nawalkha
We worked on the launch of “Live Big” to secure traditional and online media in addition to providing marketing support. Coverage included three interviews in Forbes, a guest blog with Entrepreneur, multiple podcast interviews and more. We also created swipe copy for ambassadors to promote the book through email and social media.
