Keith Lowe – Designer

Freelance illustrator and designer specialized in games and children's media, creating energetic and fantastical art.

Overview

Hello! I'm Keith Lowe, a freelance illustrator, and designer located in the greater Indianapolis area. I have worked as an artist, designer, and director for numerous books, boardgames, and video games as well.

My work is created digitally and is a mix of comics and impressionist painting. I love to bring action, energy, and movement into imagery. I specialize in commercial art, most notably for board games, book publishing, and children's media. I have previous experience as a designer for Penguin Random House and as an art director for MegaCon Games.

I'm currently open to commissions, freelance, and contract work. I've worked with companies large and small, and understand the challenges in each environment. Collaboration and communication are key components of my process for new and old clients. I teach illustration at my alma mater IWU and love bringing education and information into the creative process.

Keith was the illustrator for my YA sports book, The Oldest Sport. He was kind, punctual, and professional. He’s an extremely talented illustrator who cooperated with me to achieve my vision from the very beginning. I highly recommend him!

Keith listened to my desires, my thoughts, and created a spectacular cover that I would not have imagined possible. He is very talented but he also has a knack for understanding his clients’ inner mind. I throw out barely articulate ideas and he somehow creates a masterpiece, the exact image I wanted but had no words for.
