My name is Katie Hurst, and I'm an editor. My job is to work with you to take your writing from “finished” to “polished.” The editorial process can seem daunting after the effort of finishing a big project, so I’m here to offer an experienced and unbiased eye. I have over 8 years' experience editing a wide variety of documents. I mostly work with nonfiction written by academics and business professionals, but have experience with poetry and fiction, too. I’ve worked with large companies as well as with individuals hoping to publish a book, get their doctorates, tweak the English of a research paper, or make a spectacular website. Whether you’re looking for an in-depth critique, an editor to work with long-term, or just a second pair of eyes to make sure you didn’t make a spelling mistake, I’d love to work with you!
