Cate C. Wells - Romance Author
I designed and built this website for romance author Cate C. Wells with the goal of making it feel like an extension of her books—emotional, a little gritty, and easy to get lost in.
She has a large catalog across multiple series, so one of the biggest priorities was simplifying how readers move through the site. I focused on creating clear reading paths, especially with the reading order and series pages, so new readers know exactly where to start and returning readers can easily pick back up.
On the design side, I leaned into a moodier, more textured look to match her brand, but kept the layout clean so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The balance was important—something that feels immersive without getting in the way of usability.
We also made sure the site supports her growth. As new books and series are released, everything can be added in without needing a full redesign. Email sign-ups are built in naturally throughout the site to help her stay connected with readers and support launches.
Overall, the goal was to create something that feels true to her voice, while also working hard behind the scenes as a marketing tool.
This is a Wix Studio site, with a mega-menu and dynamic books CMS integration.
