Katelyn Turner

Katelyn Turner – Editor

Professional editor here to help with all of your non-fiction copyediting needs, from trade to textbooks and everything in between.

Overview

I am a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder. I have a BA degree in English literature and a BS degree in journalism. Since graduating, I have worked as an assistant editor at Rowman & Littlefield. I work on a range of non-fiction books with an academic bent, from trade books to college textbooks. My senior editor and I specialize in geography, world and international history, and area studies (especially Latin America, Asia, and Russia). My job responsibilities involve overlooking the entire process of the book's life from a draft manuscript up until it publishes; I send books out for peer review, format manuscripts, create art logs, submit cover design requests, and act as the main contact for authors throughout the entire process.

I also freelance copyedit for Waveland Press, a textbook publisher. I have edited several manuscripts for them on a range of topics. It is a very different task from my job at Rowman & Littlefield, and I love that I am able to work on books in two varying capacities.

I look forward to copyediting books through Reedsy, within a range of genres and topics.
