A versatile and creative designer and an excellent communicator, I am adept at getting to the heart of a brief and working closely with the client to achieve their vision. I have over 30 years of magazine and book publishing experience, but have mainly concentrated on book design over the last 7 years: 5 years as art director of the book publishing wing of the Mirror Group and 2 years running my own business. As well as jacket and interior layout design, I can also help with design of your book publicity social media assets.

As art director of a busy book publishing studio, I was responsible for the design of all jackets (print, eBook and Audible), plate sections and text. Also social media graphics/marketing material, press/digital ad campaigns.
l designed and oversaw the construction of our London Book Fair stand. Produced the yearly Rights Guide catalogue. Responsible for briefing external designers and illustrators, Photoshop work and image reproduction, picture research and negotiation of usage rights, managing external production editors and typesetters.
