I am passionate about sharing with others the skills I’ve developed over the past fifteen years of studying writing craft. I work hard to communicate clearly, kindly, and with candor, helping the writers I work with to improve and deepen their understanding of writing and novel construction. I’m a teacher by trade, and I strongly believe that the work I do with authors should always be applicable to future writing—I focus on teaching skills, rather than only trying to “fix” a current project.

-global feedback, specifically in the areas of theme, character arc, and plot
