Currently, she is running a boutique book design studio based out of her home in Montclair, New Jersey. Jordan provides cover design, interior design, and book composition and production work. Because of her well-rounded University Press background, Jordan likes to have her hand in all aspects of the design and production process. She was previously Senior Designer at Rodale Books and Columbia University Press. Jordan recently became a contributor to Spine Magazine conducting a monthly round-up of University Press covers to showcase the great design happening in the University Press world.
She has found her niche designing academic nonfiction covers for many years in a University Press setting but recently completed a stint at Penguin Random House designing Christian, historical fiction, and wellness books.

Designing book covers, interiors, creating interior art, writing specs for new designs and implementing department templates, researching art for upcoming covers, working closely with the Art Director to coordinate and manage freelancers, reformatting mechanicals for reprints, and I am in charge of every single cast-off and art transmittal at the beginning of the production process for our roughly 160 new titles a year.
