Overview
I am a Scottish-based Developmental Editor and Publisher with over 15 years industry experience. I was most recently Editorial Director at Sceptre, the literary imprint of Hodder & Stoughton, but made the choice to go freelance in order to spend more time with my two small children.
I was a Bookseller Rising Star in 2021 and UK editor of The Shadow King by Maaza Mengiste, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2020.
I love working with authors closely on how they can develop and push themselves to make their work the very best it can be. I specialise in literary and reading group fiction.
