Jim Pennypacker – Editor

20+ years experience helping business and technology authors produce remarkable copy, and a fun guy to work with

Overview

With more than twenty years publishing experience, I have edited a wide variety of award-winning nonfiction books covering leadership, management, careers and work, technology, social responsibility, marketing and public relations, project management, social media, entrepreneurship and small business, strategy and planning, teamwork, communications, human resources . . .

I will work with you to make sure that your manuscript is publishing ready. That means I'll make sure that the writing is correct, clear, concise, coherent, consistent, captivating, and compelling. That it follows Chicago Manual of Style rules. That it will inform, engage, and persuade readers.

Some of the books I’ve edited include the first edition of the Project Management Institute’s bestselling business book, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide); Reuters journalist Bobbi Rebell’s Amazon bestseller, How to Be a Financial Grownup; Nokia CEO Jorma Ollila’s award-winning memoir, Against All Odds; consultant Moe Carrick and Nintendo Executive VP/Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway’s Amazon bestseller, Fit Matters: How to Love Your Job; H.J. Heinz Chief Talent Management Officer Kimberly Janson’s award-winning Demystifying Talent Management; and Forbes columnist Robert Wynne's Straight Talk About Public Relations.

I love to talk about nonfiction book publishing, so don’t hesitate to contact me if you just want to chat.

Jim is a great professional. I engaged Jim for my first book. Jim had to extensively edit my manuscript, and I am hugely grateful for his dilligence and advice. I would happily recommend and work with again if the opportunity presented itself.

He had experience in the subject matter, was accommodating, and at every step of the way, was clear and precise about the next steps. He de...
