Jennifer Treece

Jennifer Treece – Designer

Available for children's book illustration! 20 years of experience in design, illustration and art direction.

Overview

20 years of experience working as a designer, art director and illustrator based in Michigan.

My style is colorful and whimsical. I mainly work in digital media maintaining a hint of texture for a hand-made feel. I love creating characters, animals and food and enjoy digging into the details. My favorite books as a child were Richard Scarry with his busy world and adorable animals, and the Berenstain Bears with their heartwarming lessons. I also love fairy tales, castles and all of these wonderful things spill into my work!

I have written, illustrated, designed and published 4 of my own children's books, and for over 10 years I designed Ford vehicle catalogs. Though vehicle catalogs are far from children's literature, I was responsible for presenting the vehicles in a manner that expressed it's story and brought it to life, working within parameters I was given such as budget, size and page count. I am very comfortable working with 36 page books! : )

I am easy to work with and work diligently at capturing what the client envisions, bringing it to life.

I always create a clear plan and timeline so we can stay on schedule.
