I love to help writers craft their narratives and share their stories. I’m an avid reader and a highly-organized, rigorous, compassionate, and collaborative editor. I once had a boss describe me as a “Swiss Army Knife,” which I think fits me well!
I worked at Macmillan Publishers for over 15 years working closely with authors to perfect their manuscripts. During that time, some of the books I edited went on to become New York Times bestsellers (The First Conspiracy by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch and Big Data Baseball by Travis Sawchik), Amazon Best Books of the Month (Sigh, Gone by Phuc Tran), and Alex Award winners (A Hope More Powerful than the Sea by Melissa Fleming).
Most recently I worked at Pushkin Industries, the audio publisher and podcast network founded by Malcolm Gladwell. I collaborated with audio producers and sound engineers, as well as the business, operations, marketing, and publicity teams to create and promote immersive, sound-rich, and award-winning audiobooks like Miracle and Wonder: Conversations with Paul Simon and Wild and Precious: A Celebration of Mary Oliver.
I specialize in editing memoir, biography, popular science, social science, history, music, and humor books. I also have a sharp pair of eyes and have over 20 years of experience proofreading manuscripts of all genres. I have a strong eye for narrative flow, language, and manuscript structure, and I would love to help you tell your story!

Work closely with authors and literary agents to provide editorial feedback; developmental, conceptual, and line edits on a range of commercial nonfiction book projects including memoir, politics, history, science, psychology, humor books, and essay collections. I also provide consultation to authors, agents, and publishers on a number of print and audio publishing business matters including how to get a book published, craft a book proposal, pitch a podcast, and turn your writing into an audiobook or podcast.
Pushkin Industries
At Pushkin Industries I spearheaded daily operations related to acquisition, budgeting, production, marketing, and distribution of all of Pushkin audiobooks, which included history, biography, social science, popular science, and political audiobooks. I also managed teams of audio producers, overseeing the production of all podcast audiobook anthologies and print-to-audiobook conversions.
Macmillan Podcasts
At Macmillan Podcasts I managed team of podcast producers, providing editorial feedback on all scripts and mixes at every stage of production.
I also worked closely with the Ad Operations and Audience Development departments to create standout marketing and publicity plans for a full catalog of podcasts, which covered genres such as history, biography, true crime, and pop culture.
Flatiron Books
I helped start up Flatiron Books and launched its inaugural slate of books. As Publishing Manager I worked with top executives to strategize, develop, and implement publishing and editorial processes to optimize acquisition to point-of-sale workflow. And as an editor I acquired and edited commercial nonfiction titles such as memoir, history, biography, pop culture, science, wellness, music, and humor.
