James Jones – Designer

Throughout my career I've been lucky to work across all genres, which has allowed my imagination and creativity to run wild in the best way.

Firstly at Orion Publishing Group (Hachette), followed by Vintage Books (Penguin Random House), and then as Art Director at both Oneworld Publications and Head of Zeus.

My work has been recognised by AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), Type Directors Club, Design Observer, the ABCD (The Academy of British Cover Design) and World Illustration Awards awards amongst others.

I'm also the illustrator of several best-selling picture books including 'The Perfect Fit' which was longlisted for the Klaus Flugge Illustration award and has now been translated into 11 languages. My other illustration work includes 'One More Try', 'The Odd Fish' and most recently 'Small Steps, Big Change' which will be coming out soon.

When I'm not illustrating or designing, I love practicing kung fu, cold water swimming and coach the local children’s football team.
