Lexis Nexis

Nov, 1990 — Oct, 2004 (almost 14 years)

I started as a copy-editor, learning every aspect of the publishing business at one of the largest publishers in the UK. I worked on over a thousand titles during my time there. When I left, I was the manager of the textbooks department, and developed extensive skills in areas such as project management and new technologies. I learned and developed skills that enabled me to work smarter - producing titles more quickly and cost-effectively, while retaining the quality that was so essential in this field. I worked with many excellent freelances in the field - and this led to my decision to leave to establish my own publishing services company.
