Holly Withers – Designer

Hello - Welcome! I hope you make yourself at home.

A little bit about myself and my work; I am an illustrator currently based in the Lake District, UK.

I have mostly worked traditionally and am comfortable using pencil, watercolours, gouache paint and acrylic.

Of recent I have taken on digital art which I enjoy working with as I can take it anywhere with me and get more work done.

I really am a sucker for the little details - I love to add a little extra, aesthetics are important to me because picture books are filled with, well... pictures! My biggest strength is drawing animals. I've found that there are many possibilities to drawing in that area although I am not limited to them ;) I also draw people, and scenery.

I would describe my style or personal flare (if you will) to be something rather whimsical, just sprinkling my magic around like a self proclaimed wizard - don't mind me

I feel that having a positive and friendly relationship with clients is necessary for the reasons below:

- Breaking the ice

- Casual and often communication to dart ideas back and forth

- Creates a nice space for effective collaboration

The services I specialise in are:

- Book Cover Design

- Illustrations (Samples, Storyboard, Final Illustrations via Dropbox)

- Pattern Work (front and back of the book)

- PNGs

- Prints of the illustrations posted to the client at the end of the project (on occasion if requested)
