Overview
I’ve worked in the publishing industry for more than nine years, both as an in-house editor and a freelancer. I've had the opportunity to work with some phenomenal writers along the way, including USA TODAY best-selling author Michael James Ploof.
My professional experience includes four years in-house as a senior editor for For the Children Magazine, published by the Communications Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Additionally, I started my own freelance business in 2016, working for various clients and companies as both an editor and copywriter. I have a passion for the written word, and my happy place is editing fiction. Oh, how I love putting my BA in English and creative writing to good use!
As an experienced fiction editor, I'm dedicated to delivering the best version of your manuscript while maintaining your unique style and voice. My versatile experience allows me to understand the creative and collaborative process of editing, and I'm committed to delivering the best bang for your buck. I won't just mark up your manuscript—I'll also explain why certain changes improve your story.
My favorite genres to edit are thriller/suspense, horror, and romance, but there's no genre I shy away from. Whether you're looking for a copy editor, a developmental editor, or a proofreader, feel free to reach out!
