Jennifer Hines – Designer

I’m a freelance illustrator and lettering artist from Chicago IL living as an expat in London. I have a playful and whimsical style, and love drawing playful things, but especially food and recipes, and cute things in general, from animals to people to storefronts, and I especially love puns.

My fun and colorful style is well suited for children, as well as adults who are young at heart and enjoy adorable, cute, and smile-inducing characters. I love making people giggle and brightening their day with my illustrations.

My hand-drawn lettering drawing skills means I can give a unique and customized look to a book or illustration and enjoy combining typography and artwork into one polished illustration.

I studied fine art and graphic design, and have been a freelance illustrator since 2018. Before that, I worked in publishing groups for 14 years creating artwork for textbooks and articles, so I understand the ins-and-outs of how to put something into print. I have done freelance work for Workman Publishing and Quarto Publishing, as well as many small businesses and authors who have needed something that went beyond boring corporate styles.
