Overview

Hi! I'm Haley, and I'm a comic book/graphic novel letterer of 8+ years who's worked with publishers such as Image, Oni Press, Mad Cave, and Dark Horse.

I approach each project with the care it deserves, crafting word balloons, font choice, and SFX to best match the art style and tone. I also provide book design and pre-press services, including cover and front/backmatter design. I'm highly self-motivated and deadline-driven, always making sure to communicate often.

Lettering can be an overlooked part of the creative process when it comes to comics, but when done thoughtfully and with a keen eye for composition, it can truly elevate the reading experience.

I provide lettering, design, and pre-press services to clients such as Image Comics, IDW, Dark Horse Comics, Mad Cave, and Oni Press. This involves using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to integrate the text-based elements of graphic fiction and non-fiction. I create custom speech bubbles/word balloons, choose and customize fonts, and craft sound effects to best match each project's tone and art style. I also design logos and page layouts (credits pages, acknowledgements, etc.) and compile pages using InDesign to prepare files for print according to a variety of specifications.
