Overview

I care about the details. Do you need one last set of eyes on your manuscript before it goes to print? I'm your person. Ready to submit your manuscript to literary agents and want to make sure it's as polished as can be? I'm here for it. Whatever your copyediting and proofreading needs are, I'm ready to help. As an editor of the award-winning literary journal, THE SOUTHAMPTON REVIEW, I've worked with numerous authors, tailoring my edits to preserve and enhance the originality of the writing. I know how important voice is for telling a story and my editing philosophy takes into account a writer's individual style. My job is to make your work shine.Stories and essays I've selected and edited for the review have been featured in the PUSHCART PRIZE and BEST AMERICAN anthologies, as well as reprinted in published collections. I'm particularly keen to work with emerging writers to help them hone their craft. Two of my most recent projects were copyediting and proofreading Red Hen Press's 2020 Women's Prose Prize winning novel, THE HEALING CIRCLE (Red Hen Press, 2022) by Caroline Picard, and providing editorial feedback on THE CATCH (Random House, 2022), the debut novel by Alison Fairbrother.Authors whose work I've edited include: Meg Wolitzer, Susan Scarf Merrell, Rick Moody, Lore Segal, Billy Collins, Cornelius Eady, Amy Hempel, David Lynn, Lisa Locascio, Tiphanie Yanique, Roxane Robinson, Urusla Hegi, Katherine Faw, Sharon Olds, and Caitlin Mullen.
