Geffen S.

Geffen S. – Editor

An editor with experience at top agencies and publishers in the UK and Canada, who loves narrative driven fiction and nonfiction.

Overview

For the past few years I've gathered as much experience as possible, spanning countries and different sides of publishing. I've been at top literary and foreign rights agencies, independent and big publishers, as well as magazines.

Between working on different lists, I've evaluated and contributed to the production of countless bestselling books. The books I've worked on cross countless genres and I feel confident of my ability to provide helpful and thoughtful feedback I stand behind to help get an author's book represented by a literary agent, acquired by a publisher and enjoyed by readers everywhere.

My own tastes and experiences are broad and eclectic; so with me, you'll get someone who understands the big picture. And because I've worked on may different lists that range from the literary to the upmarket to the commercial, fiction and nonfiction (not to mention the range of personalities), it's less about genre for me but rather making your project the best version of your vision.

I've worked with Geffen on three books now and she really helped make them better. I love her structural edits as they truly helped me hone in on the areas that need work. We're starting to get to know each other so her feedback is more personal and I like that she's honest and not telling me what I want to hear but what I need to hear to make the stories reach their potential. At the end of th...
