Overview
I love good storytelling, which has led me down many creative paths. I currently work in print production and have over five years’ experience in publishing across multiple genres. Before completing the Columbia Publishing Course in 2014, I worked for two years in architecture at Disneyland in California, helping tell classic tales through brick, mortar, and a good amount of themed paint. But my favorite medium for telling stories is the written word, and I have an eye for copyediting and proofreading, helping others to hone and refine their own stories. I also bring stories to life through music and creative writing, and I have a devotion to service and Catholic liturgy, writing spiritual reflections for the Frassati Fellowship of NYC.
In all editing that I do, I seek to bring out the author’s unique voice and help to cultivate their narrative in a way that fits their own writing style. In editing children’s picture books, I help to give authors feedback that will bring out the best parts of their story and find just the right words to express their ideas. I have experience in crafting dynamic, playful sentences and developing a cadence that engages young readers. I also have extensive experience in editing architectural publications. With my background in architecture, I am well versed in its terminology. As an editor, I help clarify the usage of technical terms and distill the ideas being expressed to make them more polished and accessible to readers.
