Emma Murf

Emma Murf – Editor

Emma is an experienced poetry editor specializing in developmental editing and editorial assessments for poetry chapbooks & collections.

Overview

I'm an editor and poet, as well as the author of Reedsy's poetry-writing course, "Poetry: How to Spark Creativity with Verse."

I received my BA in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Georgia. My work has been published or is forthcoming in The Madrid Review, The Shore, Same Faces Collective, Slackjaw, Liminal Press, The Belladonna and others.

In addition to editing, I've spent many years copywriting for brands of all sizes, including Toyota, Amazon Studios, Netflix and Baskin-Robbins, so I'm familiar with helping writers find and speak to their audience.

If you're looking for poetry editorial assessments or developmental editing (including assessments on where to submit work), I would love to help. I welcome chapbooks, full-length manuscripts and individual poems alike!

Emma is an extremely professional editor. It was a great experience working with her. Not only her opinions helped me a great deal in editing my own piece, but she was also able to finish the editing several days before the designated deadline.

Thanks so much, Zhenze! It was wonderful to work with you!
