Emma Hamilton – Editor

I am an editor specializing in nonfiction. I began my career at Macmillan, where I had the benefit of working on a broad range of titles. During my time in the audio division, I worked on mostly commercial titles, and when I transferred to the Palgrave Macmillan imprint, I got experience working on both trade nonfiction and academic titles.

I went on to get a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from NYU and have written and copyedited academic articles. I currently work in a college writing center, where I help undergraduate and graduate students decide how best to tackle their writing. My time is split between writing coaching and guiding students on fixing structure and mechanics. I enjoy working with both people and texts, I believe deeply in the art of written communication, and I love helping people achieve their best in the form.
