Emily Frisella

Emily Frisella – Editor

Copyeditor and proofreader with an international outlook; specializing in fiction, memoir, and well-being.

Overview

Are you a novelist or short story writer with a first-draft manuscript? I'll edit for grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and flag up inconsistencies and continuity errors, all while preserving your unique voice.

Or are you a nonfiction writer with an early draft of a book or article? I'll help you organize your ideas and arguments in a way that your readership will find clear and intuitive.

Or is your project almost finished and in need of a proofread? I'll ensure your writing is polished, consistently formatted, and ready for publication.

I started my career working with academic writers and freelancing as a content writer before going on to desk-edit a wide range of fiction and nonfiction at Hachette and Profile Books. In addition to in-house and freelance editing experience, I have completed courses from the Publishing Training Centre on proofreading and copyediting nonfiction. I have worked in both the UK and the US, and I am familiar with both British and American spelling and conventions.
