Ella Rousseau – Designer

Hi there!

I’m Ella, a Sydney-based artist, passionate about bringing stories to life through children's illustration.

I graduated with an Honours degree in Design in Animation at UTS (2021) and I love creating colourful, whimsical characters and worlds for children's books. With meticulous attention to detail and a playful touch, I infuse my artwork with imagination and childhood wonder. Radiating joy and inviting imaginative journeys, my goal is to bring smiles to faces of all ages!

By experimenting with different mediums and techniques, I achieve a captivating blend of traditional and digital elements in my illustrations.

I have illustrated five children’s books for Shawline Publishing Group and am currently working on a sixth. My published books include: “Thongs, Crocs and Flip Flops” by Mimi Lex, “Captain Blue Beard” by Joshua Limbrick, “Gracie and The Stinky Green Poo” by Sharon Sayers-Kiely, “The Hippo Who Found True Beauty” by Nevenka Alempijevic and "Indy And The Fairy Dust Farts" by Sharon Sayers-Kiely. I have also worked for clients such as Storytime Magazine, ABC, and various smaller companies as an illustrator and animator.

I have excellent communication skills, a knack for meeting deadlines, and am able to take on and apply feedback from clients. I love turning ideas into captivating visuals, ensuring that my work is delivered on time, with a whole lot of passion and dedication.
