I served as an editor at a major book publisher for seven years and have also worked as an editor for technical and education materials as well as a communications manager. Together, I've spent more than a decade editing a wide variety of material. From broad developmental edits focusing on structure, pacing, and character, to sentence-level line edits for language and fluidity, to meticulous copyediting or proofreading for grammar, spelling, consistency, and formatting errors, I work with writers across genres to help shape the most beautiful, compelling, and polished version of the work.During my time in publishing I acquired and edited both fiction and nonfiction, focusing primarily but not exclusively on mysteries & thrillers and memoir. I have edited books across genres, including contemporary fiction, women's fiction, romance, historical fiction, science fiction, mysteries, biography, and memoir, among others.
