Overview

Editor with 8+ years of experience working on bestselling and award-winning fiction and nonfiction at a Big 5 publishing company

After a decade of editorial experience, I still find there’s nothing more rewarding than being part of bringing a creative vision to life, and helping a story evolve from a fledgling idea to a polished manuscript to a finished book.

During my 8+ years at Grand Central Publishing (the largest division of Hachette Book Group, a Big 5 publishing company), I had the pleasure of working on bestselling and acclaimed books by world-class authors, such as David Baldacci, Octavia E. Butler, Min Jin Lee, Scott Turow, Harlan Coben, Sandra Brown, Nicholas Sparks, Admiral William H. McRaven, M.C. Beaton, Leesa Cross-Smith, Kira Jane Buxton, and Melinda Taub, among many others. Whether a writer is an up-and-coming talent or a #1 New York Times bestselling author, I take great joy in working with them at every stage in their career and in their books’ life cycles, from editorial review to developmental edits and beyond.

Within my fiction focus, I gravitate toward commercial, upmarket, fantasy, speculative, thrillers, and rom-coms. Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to hear about your next project and how I can help it along its journey!

Elizabeth gave fantastic detailed notes. I’m still in the process of re-editing with her notes as a guide and pretty much everything she commented on has helped me find the best path forward. She was prompt, communicative, and focused in her critique. I strongly recommend working with her and hope to again in the future on my next books.

This is my second project with Elizabeth, so that should say it all. But if it doesn't- Elizabeth is a wonderful editor with thoughtful and thorough suggestions. Best of all, her suggestions don't leave you scratching your head; she gives you a clear path forward, taking the guesswork out of the revision process. Don't hesitate to hire her—I did—twice!

If you want to find out how to make your manuscript shine, I highly recommend Elizabeth. Beyond being talented, she is a consummate professional in every sense of the word. From scheduling to delivering organized and insightful editing materials, going through her edit and recommendations feels like a master class. I've used other editors and this has been by far the best experience.

From her response to my request for a quote, Elizabeth has demonstrated that she knows her craft, cares about the writer she works with, and makes herself available whenever there are questions. I had the pleasure of hiring her to review and line-edit the first three chapters of my manuscript for submission to acquiring agents and editors. I was more than amazed and impressed with how she helpe...

It was a pleasure working with Elizabeth. In particular, her experience and advice about how to select comps and position my novel within genres and audiences was valuable, and I also valued her kindness and the gentle touch of her critiques. She was quick and responsive and provided well-written, timely communication. Great job!
