Overview
Hello there. I'm an Art Director and Designer with extensive experience in Publishing, having worked for Bloomsbury Publishing, Pearson, Penguin Random House, Future Plc (formerly Dennis Publishing), and La Sorbonne University. I have extensive experience managing and art directing teams of Designers, Art Workers and Illustrators. I also design covers and interiors myself. I love to work on varied lists including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, early years picture books and academic.
I work on projects from conceptional to final production ready files. I love the process of collaborating on briefs with an Author and Editor to get a feel for the tone of the project. I can then research into sales and marketing to produce a mood board for inspiration and ideas that are innovative but fit into the desired market, for maxim sales potential. Once a direction has been decided then comes the fun part for me, coming up with multiple creative ideas and directions, that we can whittle down together to produce a final branding and alluring, successful visual for your project. I art directed and managed the Children’s Education publishing list. We created a varied list including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, early years, picture books and academic.
