Tjarda Borsboom – Designer

I am Tjarda, a freelance illustrator from Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I always loved to draw, ever since I was a little girl. I have been illustrating freelance for over 10 years now in my studio in our house. I am represented by Lemonade Illustration Agency, which results in clients all over the globe. My jobs are very divers, I design postcards, I have quite a lot of editorial jobs, for example for a toddler magazine from Belgium. I also work for Dutch educational publishers. I've illustrated several childrens' picturebooks, for example 'The first illustrated Thesaurus' for Usborne, a book for Londons transport Museum (the London Bus Model book), several hardboard toddler books, a botanic book for children and one of my favorites: 'Inspiration is in here' for Welbeck. I work digital in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I love to add lots of texture and details in my artwork. My work is mostly very colorfull. I am inspired by nature and beautiful things in my surrounding.
