Joelle loves sarcasm. Her blog is full of it. She believe’s that writing is a great deal more fun and a lot cheaper than psychotherapy.

The message in the book give important insight into a world I wouldn't want to live in. The book has too much repetition, and typos that I'm not used to seeing when a book is traditionally published. Dozens of pages should have been cut from the book.

I haven't read the book, only your excellent synopsis. There were two pedophiles in my church. They were smart, never doing any visible damage. It took well into my 30's to understand the psychological damage they had inflicted. It is next to impossible to overcome it. If the author is able to do so, there is an entire book that could be dedicated to the years of counseling, and the problems with choosing the same type of men over and over again thinking, "This one is different."

I need beta readers! A family member who hates editing but is excellent at, it used to teach writing skills. She did a perfunctory (yes, I know the meaning of the word) edit that caught a lot of glaring problems. She finished books 3 - 7 in my "First Level of Hell" series (Atto Run & Holding the Lines are already published). My Indie Partner who does the covers, interior, disappeared again, and in the meantime I can still be doing something constructive.

A book that was ahead of its time, and it brings back memories of the 1970's.

Reading this best seller from a 1970's standpoint, it was ground breaking. From a 2021 standpoint, I'd give it about 3 stars. I'm mid-way through the book, and my opinion may change.

Confessions of a clueless writer: I once tried to make candy in a microwave using tupperware. Just as that endeavor didn't end well, I've made a lot of mistakes with publishing, too. The first three editions of Atto Run needed revisions and they STILL keep circulating among readers. They're harder to get rid of than splattered plastic candy melded to the walls of a microwave. It's embarrassing to admit the depths of my naivety in 2013, when Atto Run was first published. If you'd like to read my books, the recent editions are free on KindleUnlimited. Immortal Sands, book 2, should be published soon. After that -- I'm not sure if one of my two stand-alone books will be published, or if book 3 of The First Level of Hell Series is next.
