Diana Beltran Herrera – Designer

I am from Colombia but live currently in the Uk. I graduated from Industrial design and then studied an MA in fine arts in Bristol Uk. I like to work with paper because it is a very versatile material. The posibilities and endless. I love to create 2d images and editorial works. However most of my work is sculpture which later I photograph myself. I work with agencies creating visual merchadising, advertising, and campaigns for brands and products. I also like creating display windows and installations.I have been working over the past 3 years in the editorial industry, creating book covers for English author Ruth hogan and also for the publishing house Hodder and Stoughton in the UK. I also create a lot of pieces for magazines and for printed media.I love to create covers in paper because it is like bringing the cover alive. By working with layers, textures and colours the image of the book becomes interesting and captivating among the readers. The cover is most of the time the main gate for a great history, so why not to create something worth of attention.
