Daniel Sentance

Daniel Sentance – Editor

Specialist Middle Eastern & Islamic studies copy-editor and English language editor (journals and books).

Overview

Hello! I offer copy-editing and English language editing services to academic publishers and authors and have worked with a number of university presses, including Cambridge, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.

I also copy-edit the academic journals 'Die Welt des Islams', 'Arab Law Quarterly', and 'Sudosteuropa', as well as the Encyclopedia of Women & Islamic Studies Online and the Encyclopaedia of Islam. As you can see, I specialize in Middle Eastern and Islamic studies but copy-edit across a range of fields within the social sciences and humanities.

I respect the hard work that academic authors put into their manuscripts and enjoy working with them to sensitively but pragmatically communicate their research as effectively and engagingly as possible. I always aim to ensure that your writing is as clear, concise, consistent and accurate as possible.

I'm a Professional Member of a UK-based professional membership organization for editors and proofreaders, and abide by their code of practice. I'm also a Fellow (Full Member) of the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES).
