With more than twenty years of editorial experience, I have expertise in developmental editing, copyediting, line editing, proofreading, and beta reading. I work closely with authors as a thought partner to help them craft compelling, engaging manuscripts that resonate with a variety of audiences. This includes providing a comprehensive editorial analysis, reviewing the "big picture" concepts for editorial integrity, organization, and text flow; offering detailed feedback; line editing for structure and form; and proofreading with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy. I also ensure manuscripts strictly align with industry standards and Chicago Manual of Style, APA, and house style guidelines.

The scope of my experience spans a diverse range of subject areas. In my twelve years as a senior editor for Solution Tree Press, a prominent educational publisher, I managed and edited books on a variety of topics, such as finding the heart, soul, and joy in your professional and personal life; inspiring adolescents to embrace literature and reading; supporting women in educational leadership; implementing wellness strategies for leaders; building successful school teams; motivating students who are at risk; and ensuring equity and inclusion across the curriculum.

This helps me understand their background and perspective, identify and clarify their purpose, refine and shape their content, provide detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and clarity, and keep the integrity of their voice and vision.
