Testimonials:

Clare is tremendous: insightful, knowledgeable and innovative. She pulled me out of a trough when despite great representation and good published track record, I could not get a book deal. She gave me a most incisive overview of what I could do and then went on to edit a project spectacularly well and helpfully. She is worth many times over her reasonable fees... I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. Ace. Philippa Davies

Clare pulled me out of the fetid corner of the internet I was wallowing in, gently coaxed me into trusting my ability to put one word after the other and has, as a consequence, had a profound and long-lasting (positive!) effect on my life and career choices. Clare is furnished with unfailing integrity and is a great communicator. She is patient, soft-spoken and capable. I am blessed to have had her in my life. If you get the chance to work with her, take it. Your life will improve. Matthew Kimberly

Work experience

Self-employed

Jan, 2014 — Present

I'm an experienced book publishing professional with a wide range of experience across many publishing disciplines. After creating and developing successful lists for several major UK publishing houses, I set up and ran an independent publisher in 2005, which focused on developing books from websites and blogs.

In 2009 I set up services to help authors make the right choices in their publishing journey, whether that be from a traditional or self-publishing perspective.

In 2014, I set up a publishing company to provide a middle way for talented authors who are slipping through the net in the traditional publishing industry.

In 2007, I was named UK Young Publisher of the Year in the inaugural award sponsored by The British Council and The London Book Fair. I was a trustee of creative arts organisation, New Writing South between May 2010 and October 2014 and a founder member of the newly launched Guild of Creative Entrepreneurs. In 2008, I was made a Fellow of the RSA Specialties: publishing, publishing strategy, books, editing, fundraising, management, marketing, strategic, strategic development, project management

I am so pleased that I chose Clare for editing services for my book. She has really helped tidy up my manuscript and given it a professional and high quality finish. I dread to think what the reader reviews would be like had I not used her and just blindly self published my first book without an editing service! Eagle eyed readers would have spotted the grammatical errors that my friends and ...
