Overview

Hello, I'm Chris! Welcome to my little corner of Reedsy!

The work I do with kid’s books brings me back to my own childhood and wonderful times growing up in rural Oregon. Drawing the settings and landscapes connects me with nature which I really enjoy.

I specialize in design and illustration for self-publishing authors and first-time authors. I offer affordable publishing packages with a variety of services such as:

• Story sketch
• Book design
• Digital illustration production
• Characters and environments
• Interior page layout and typography
• Cover design, 3-D mock-ups
• Book production / technical services
• Promotional graphics and video
• Project management

I'm experienced in publishing to the Amazon KDP (I can publish to other platforms as well). In the last five years, I've self-published or collaborated on more than two dozen publishing projects.

I use both traditional and digital tools to put the books together. I have a presentation that takes you through a seven step illustration and book design creative process. I would be happy to send it your way. It will give you a pretty clear idea of what to expect in our collaboration.

WHERE TO GO FROM HERE
Send me your project brief and I will get back to you within 24 hours with an affordable package recommendation for your project that includes a price quote, delivery dates, and a detailed explanation of the services and options.

If you have a question, or if you would like to request the book design presentation, please send a quick message (via Reedsy). I will get right back to you.

And don't forget to add me to your Reedsy 'short list' (Tap the star next to SELECT).

Thanks!
- Chris

Although we are not finished with the project yet, I have been more than pleased with Chris. He has taken me through this new experience from step one. I can ask him anything without him making me feel like a beginner. Chris will give his opinion and then let you make the decisions.

I was a newbie to the self-publishing, Chris was amazing helping me through each step. When we got off the track, he led the project right back where it needed to in order of the completion date. Chris welcomes my voice on creating the characters for my book and got them right. Chris was wondrous to work with, and I would use him again for additional projects.

As a newbie, Chris showed me a lot of what I needed to finish the production of the children's picture book and assisted me in so many ways. He also was patient enough to explain the process, the illustrations, all the pertinent details and expectations I had. Thanks Chris for helping me with the production and publication of 'An Awesome You'.
