Anny Chen

Anny Chen – Designer

Children’s illustrator with 4 years of experience, making joyful and colorful illustrations that celebrate diverse characters.

Overview

Hello, I'm a Taiwanese-American children’s illustrator based in Paris, France. I make joyful, colorful illustrations that celebrate diverse characters for picture books, baby books, educational content, and magazines. Prior to illustration, I worked as a graphic designer for over a decade, giving me a strong foundation in layout, typography, and print production.

Some of my illustration clients include Scholastic Magazine, The Friend Magazine, and Rue des Enfants (France). I also work with authors looking to self-publish their own children’s books, or commission custom artwork and character designs for their kid’s book pitch to publishers and agents.

Client Testimonials:

"I wholeheartedly recommend Anny for children’s illustration and design artwork. Her skills, both creative and technical, combined with a broad-minded attitude, made my work as a writer not only easy, but fun. She’s dedicated to her client’s needs, strives for perfection, and is invaluable if you’re looking for someone who combines talent and vision. I’m confident Anny’s work will significantly elevate the project you’re seeking to accomplish or illustrative work you may be looking for."

- Raven Howell, Children's Author

"I commissioned Anny to create some illustrations for an animation pitch deck I was creating. Her results blew me away. Anny brought my characters to life beautifully and vividly, making my pitch deck eye-catching. Anny was both easy and professional to work with. I was on a tight deadline, which Anny agreed to from the start. She put together a schedule, allowed time for revisions, and always made it clear when she would need feedback from me. She delivered the work on time and to a very high standard. I highly recommend Anny and would love to work with her again."

-Katy Segrove, Children's Animation Writer

"We had the pleasure of collaborating with Anny to illustrate a gift box dedicated to babies and their parents. Anny quickly understood the visual style we wanted for the project. Her illustrations are gentle and of high quality, and her characters are very endearing. Beyond her artistic talent, Anny was professional, responsive, and full of great ideas throughout our collaboration. It was a real pleasure working with her, and we are absolutely delighted with the final result!" (review translated from French)
