Charlotte Bryan

Charlotte Bryan – Editor

Experienced editor and proofreader of academic content, fiction and non-fiction. Specialising in humanities, social sciences and STM.

Overview

I am a skilled Proofreader and Project Manager with eighteen years’ experience in the publishing industry. I have overseen print and digital products in a wide range of subject areas, Academic and Educational, from commission through to publication, and have consistently demonstrated the time management skills and attention to detail necessary to deliver work of exceptional quality, on schedule.

I pride myself on building strong and trusting relationships. Communication is very important to me and I encourage regular catch ups when working on a project. I love watching projects take shape and have experienced the highs and lows of some fantastic and challenging titles. My positive outlook helps drive forward and solve problems that can arise during the production process. I am so proud of all of the titles I have published over the years, a highlight for me was working with Patrick Moore and meeting him at his home!

I took 5 years to write an industry textbook. I have been writing for over 30 years and wanted to self-publish my work. So I wondered, do I really need an editor? After finding Reedsy I decided to give it a try. Charlotte responded and said she could meet my deadline. She kept in touch during the editing process. When I got her work, all at once and on time, I was very pleased and surprised. S...
